eidi Abra possesses a deeply personal passion for color, texture, fabric and fine craftsmanship. A self-taught designer, Heidi's work reflects inspiration from a diverse group of elements including nature, Renaissance art, alchemic symbolism and Asian culture.

A Los Angeles native, Heidi was raised in Europe and began working as a model after being discovered by designer Stephen Sprouse in New York. Heidi alternated working for Giorgio Armani and other legendary designers with extensive travel throughout Europe and Asia, ultimately returning to Los Angeles to study photography and fine arts at the prestigious California Institute of the Arts.

While still in school, Heidi began designing and hand crafting jewelry and clothing that caught the attention of exclusive boutiques such as Maxfield, Neiman Marcus and Fred Segal in Los Angeles, Henri Bendel in New York and Ultimo in Chicago. All Heidi Abra designs are beautifully dyed and lavishly beaded and embroidered by hand. Her eclectic clientele is composed of a diverse range of women who know how to make an impact--among them Elizabeth Taylor, Naomi Campbell, Danielle Steele, Ashanti and Claudia Schiffer.

Heidi's designs have been featured in numerous publications including Vogue, Glamour, In Style, Rolling Stone, Los Angeles magazine and The New York Times. See PRESS for editorial coverage.
